Button has 28 years of commercial-investment transactional experience in both investment sales and leasing, spanning institutional, corporate and entrepreneurial settings, and all sectors of the real estate market. His expertise also includes direct investment and asset management, acquisition, disposition, debt, development, property management, and valuation. Additionally, he has taught investment real estate at Colorado State University and Penn State University.
Button’s real estate leasing career began in New York City at Cushman & Wakefield, a global real estate services leader. Then, while completing his graduate degree in real estate at New York University, he began working for Greystone Realty, a real estate investment and asset management subsidiary of NY Life. In this institutional setting, he developed a comprehensive appreciation for real estate as an investment asset class. The nearly 10 years spent in the greater New York City region instilled upon him a professional experience not easily duplicated and a discipline that has stayed with him throughout his entire career.
Button is a CCIM Designee. The CCIM Institute is a global commercial real estate network with members across North America and more than 30 countries. This professional network has enabled CCIM members to close thousands of transactions annually, representing more than $200 billion in value. CCIM’s are an invaluable resource for commercial real estate owners, investors, and users. CCIMs have completed a designation curriculum that covers essential CCIM skill sets including ethics, interest-based negotiation, financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis.
Button holds a BS in finance from Penn State, and a MS in real estate from New York University.
